Has anybody messed around with the 235 grain single bevel kodiaks? Was just looking at 3 rivers page and they caught my eye. Would like to pair with 100 or 125 grain adapters to get me into the 330-350 grain range
I shoot them on woods from my 50@26 Toelke Whip. They shoot straight for me and perform very well on game. I like and can recommend them. Sharpness and placement is the key.
great heads imo, I was using them with a 70 grain adapter for a 300 grain broadhead. Flew great and sharpened up nice
For sure they are great heads, I wish the Titanium adapters were a little cheaper.
How hard are they to sharpen? Ive seen in the past where quality was hit and miss with the edges just didnt know if they had the problem fixed
Been using that exact same combination on wooden arrows from my 75lb Blackwidow longbow.
A 235 grain Kodiak with a 100 grain Woody Weight on Red Balau hardwood shafts, all up they weight of a smidge under 1100 grains, they fly superbly and penetrate like crazy.
Fantastic combination I reckon.
I've had limited experience, but so far it's worked an absolute treat on a couple of good Water Buffalo and a nice wild boar.
Can get these Kodiak's super sharp without too much effort too.
What are you planning on using it on?

They are not as perfect as what some other heads are that run more money. They come with a decent burr on the back side of most, ready to be taken to an edge. You should have a bit of a handle on sharpening with these. The metal its self sharpens excellent. Some may not be perfect, but I've used all I've ever boughten with good results.
Main thing ill be hunting with them is whitetail but i have a friend who runs a big ranch that has bison that is wanting me to come hunt so preparing for bigger game
