Wondering if anyone can suggest a decent travel case for a 58" takedown Chinook. Never had a two piece bow so not sure who makes a decent case for travel for that type bow. Will most likely just be traveling in a vehicle on out of state hunts so doesn't have to be bomb proof just something with decent padding and not too bulky. Thanks
PVC tube. Wrap it up, slide it in-put caps on it to keep it dry and dust free. My three piece fits in a tube which I'd packed in a modified long military sea bag. Boots on the bottom, tube in center, clothes packed around the tube, pack on top, closed, locked and put on the plane No problems
my wife bought me a far north case for my longbow. great case with room inside for a tube of arrows as well.
3 rivers had a few nice looking cases you may want to look at.
I just met a couple of the ladies selling far north cases. I don't need one but took some liberties checking out their cases. I was totally impressed with the design and quality and based on that would highly recommend their products. I have no idea on their prices.
I've been checking out the far north cases today and they look really well made.
I use Rod Jenkins Safari Tuff Rhino cases for my takedowns both 2 and 3 piece.
Cheap and effective:
Home made PVC tube
Moderate cost and nice:
3-rivers...theres one in the classifieds right now for $100
Fly rod case
Etc
Best of the best
Far North Archery for about $145. They are basically a PVC tube, lined and refined with a great organization.
Far North or Safari Tuff are excellent, or 3Rivers.
Home made wise I've done a 2pc by putting on part in a bow sock...then twist the sock in the middle a few times...slide the other half in...then fold this package in half and slide into a PVC with caps...voila!
