I just put a deposit down on an elkheart. Gregg let me borrow one and i fell in love at first grip. Then I shot it. I think I wept. Short story long, i chose bocote riser and myrtle burl veneer with horn inlays on the limb tips.But...i have a lot of time to change my mind. so lets see them beauties for inspiration. I have 9 months to ammend the order.
bocote and myrtle burl sounds like a real beauty to me, id day you done good
Don't change a thing. It will be a beauty.
The time goes fast. Mine should be done this week. Assyrian 60lb@30". I couldn't decide on woods either, except to use Diamondwood of some color for the riser. So I left it up to Greg to pick.
I'll post some photos when it gets here.
Tedd
I have one with myrtle burl limbs, love it.
Recurve Addict,
Addiction to new bows is a serious disease. I suspect many, maybe most, of the TradGang members have suffered from its many ill effects.
So I think it's time for an intervention. I suspect many others would volunteer to help, but I'd like to be the first to offer meaningful help.
Just change the order to LH, 45-48# @28" and have Greg ship it to me when it's done. No sense letting the new bow smell get into your house and wreak havoc with your recovery.

haha thanks for the advice George! I don't think I am ready to take the plunge into recovery yet lol
