I have a Whip at present and looking of getting another one with lower poundage
I interested also with the wind warrior from wolf archery
my question is if both bows are the same length, draw lenght, same poundage
to you which one is smoother to the draw and accurate and quiete
they say the wind warrior is a long bow.... does it qualify as so in competition
thank you
Wind Warrior is a hybrid/horse bow design. I guess very loosely interpreted it could be classified as a longbow because the string doesn't rest on the limbs.
His other models are closer to a longbow more like a Whip.
I like his designs but to me Dan's bows are a better value, but that's just MO. Any WW bows I've seen for sale seem to take a while to sell, that's in case you don't like it.
The WW looks like it would be a very smooth springy draw, would feel more like a recurve to draw vs a Whip. Whip should be more forgiving of form errors due to deflexed design and narrower deeper core limbs. WW is probably very quick per pound.
Apples and oranges in many ways. It's a shame he doesn't really build the WW bows with exotic woods, they'd be gorgeous.
