Title: Compare Cari-Bow Slynk (60") or Peregrine(62")
Post by: Bill Turner on July 12, 2017, 12:28:00 PM
Considering buying one of the two bows mentioned above by Caribow. I have a 28" draw. Shot a Slynk this past weekend but have never shot or seen a Peregrine. I was surprised by the performance of the Slynk. The 60" length concerns me but I shot it great. Your opinions will be appreciated.     :dunno:

Neither model should be ANY concern with a 28" draw.  You'd even enjoy shooting a 58" wolverine.  He adjusts the riser length fade to fade to keep the working limb length proportional to a large degree.  The Peregrine will just add a couple more ounces riser mass to the equation.  Depends on your goals.  Peregrine will be less string on your fingers relative to bow length and a little larger riser so, super smooth and some added stability, or if you want a shorter bow get the shorter bow.  28" draw guys are spoiled by options if you ask me.  The 58" Wolverine would be great for you too if you need a blind or brush bow but the bow is very diminutive overall.

The SLynx is a great bow. Never shot or owned a Peregrine but any bow Abe makes is a shooter. I have a 29" draw and the SLynx was no problem for me.

I've shot them both and purchsed the SLynx in a 2pc.  I've probably posted this too many times but...it is still the bow I compare all others to.  Fast, quiet and easy to shoot.  With all that said, I would like to own a Peregrine too but every time I buy a new bow I find them sitting because I always go back to the SLynx.

At 60", the Slynk would be the shortest LB on my rack. I already have two 62 inch bows by G.W. Flanagan. Maybe it is time to try something different. The Slynk I shot this past weekend shot lights out at 49@28.

My SLynx is my favorite longbow.  Abe builds beautiful bows.  Never heard of the Slynk:)

Ive not shot either one but Id think either bow is going to be top notch. I myself have watered at the mouth innumerable times over that Slynx.

I have shot both, I vote Slynx.  More than enough for 28 in draw, great bow.

Great to hear from you "Harl". If I'm not mistaken you told me the same thing about Howard Hill bows. You have not steered me wrong yet. Would love to find a used one.
