Title: Bow identification help
Post by: bear bowman on July 10, 2017, 07:16:00 AM
I just received my great uncle Henry's bow yesterday. He and my aunt Marie were ambassadors of the sport in this area for many years. He co founded an archery club here as well.
I received this bow and I have no idea what it is. It is a recurve. It appears that the riser is a solid block of wood. It also looks as though the limbs were glued to the riser. The only marks I can see, it looks like a crown and a drawn bow with a word in it. I don't have photos just yet but if needed I could get some.
I want to look up some history on the bow. Thanks

Ben Pearson Sovereign had a crown on it, looks like this.  There were 9 models.

 Pictures really would help.

Danny, I think you have it. My wife kept swearing that it looked like the word hit. I'll get some photos and do some research.

thanks
