After trying several bows, I've decided I need a 64" mild r/d bow.
I shot a friend's bow, which another friend made. It shot where I looked, had no stacking, little to no handshock, was plenty quick and quiet. It also proved stable, even with deliberate torquing and flinging the release. So, I'm looking for suggestions.
Wish list:
Mild r/d design
64"
Shelf cut to center
A very low wrist or straight grip w/ locator
The bow I shot had a carbon lamination in it. I would not be opposed to a carbon lamination in the bow I'm searching for.
So, any bows come to mind?
I really appreciate your time and thoughts.
Best regards, Skychief
Mohawk, Dwyer,Liberty Contender, and my favorite Northern Mist Baraga!

Mohawk, Mohawk, Mohawk
Bear Montana
Mohawk Sparrowhawk
(or
Wes Wallace Royal
or
Toelke Super D)
any of those three, two thumbs up.
Great Northern Bushbow
As for myself I can only say I would buy a Mohawk Sparrowhawk based upon the criteria you listed. I have never owned one, but I handled one a couple of years ago at RMS when I was in CO. It was the most pleasant looking and the grip was a perfect fit. I believe that Rob from this site had a hand in the design of it and everyone who has owned them have had nothing but good things to say about it. If I ever buy another R/D LB it is no doubt the one for me.
Maddog
My Dwyer Original is the finest shooting bow (for me) that I've ever shot. It's 1/8th from center but overall an exceptional bow with very narrow, heavily trapped limbs that sends arrows with a whisper. I commend you on seeking a mild R/D; it's a great design.
Wes Wallace Royal
X2 for the Northern Mist Baraga
You should buy my Big Jim Buffalo, all Bocote. Gorgeous, smooth and quiet. It's 62", tho.....
Yellowstone.
Northern Mist Baraga or Robertson
Kimsha Mattawoman II
I second the Baraga!
Wes Wallace Royale, Tolke Super D, or a Fred Anderson Skookum.
I absolutely love my Super D. She has a slight locator grip, is surprisingly quick, nearly no hand shock and soooo Quiet!!!
GN Bushbow :-)
