I'm a proud Pappy of four beautiful little granddaughters. Just the sweetest girls ever! Two are 8, two are 5. They are big time animal lovers and wouldn't hurt a fly. Or so I thought.........
I got them each a Bear Wizard bow set with extra arrows and took them up to the woods to my range. After just a few basic instructions they really got the hang of it. Imagine, shooting a longbow without sights! Just like God intended. :)
First they shot my blob target, then a couple shots at the bag. Soon someone said "Shoot the pig!". My poor hog target took a pounding, same with the turkey target. Oh my. What happened to my sweet little darlings?
I smiled all the way back to the house.
I've got three granddaughters that love to shoot. The youngest one is 14 and has a timer set on her phone, counting down the weeks, days and hours until ETAR. She started it back in January!
Thanks for posting!
Hope they stick with it .
Very nice , thanks for sharing .

I have two daughters who each have two daughters. They all just came rolling in the door. Running, squealing, fighting, and waiting for me to open the pool. Sigh.
Yes, I'm a lucky man!
That's awesome!! Great memories being made.

Thats awesome! I have four children and one more on the way in January. They all love to shoot with me...but my oldest son Drake (11 years old) is just as obsessed with the stickbow as myself. He will be in a treestand with me this year for the first time during bow season....and I couldnt be happier.

Yeah! I remember those days. My son Andy shot a Whitetail first time out....I went to check on him late AM....he was shakin'...and stutterin'... He had to sit down and tell me the story. LOL!
cool!
Get 'em after the ground grizzlies now, Dave. You'll probably have better luck training them than you did me.
Congrats on your full quiver my friend!
Good to hear from you Darren. Miss you buddy.
The sod poodles are gone. Coyotes, foxes, who knows. They started declining about five years ago. I saw two Saturday. That was the first sighting this year! I used to have 8-12 killed by now. It's a shame.
Thats great! One time at a 3-D when my daugther was about 5 or 6 after she hit a target she said. "I think I hit in the lungs and liver dad. I don't think it will go far" That had the whole crew with us in stitches. You have to love them little killers!
