Anyone know what year the serial number 04191 is for the bow?
I believe it is April 1,1991. In those days that was how they indicate the date. No longer the way it is done.
What would a psa in emaculate condition cost?
It was bow #191 built, in 2004. The first 2 numbers are the year. The following numbers are the bow number for that year.
New a PSA will run a tick over a smooth grand. But a perfect condition used...04' should be $600-$700ish IMO. rat'
I stand corrected on my answer earlier. I checked my owner's manual on a MAII that i received in 1991, I ordered it August 12, 1991 and it was shipped to me on October 22, 1991. The serial number on it is 91812. So, the date of the order with the year 91; the month August and the date the 12th. I have a few newer ones that the serial number doesn't relate to the order date. I had one from 1993 that had the 93 first then the numbers that would suggest it indicated the number of the bow built that year as JwiIliam states.
Call black widow and they will tell you. They told me about the two I own.
A really clean PSA as rat said would be 6-700. I just picked up a like new 07 for $500 but it was a LH 60 lb bow. The guys at BW can tell you everything about the bow including if weight reduction is possible by the serial number
