I can't begin to express my gratitude for the warm and welcoming environment that my family experienced at the hands of Compton's, Berrien County Sportsman's Club, and all of the wonderful helpers and volunteers, not to mention all of the attendees with several visits under their belts. Everyone was incredibly friendly.
My only regret, though it's more of a flaw with myself, is that I'm horrible with names...and I'm ashamed that I didn't get better details and contact information from some of my neighbors in the campground before they left. Though from talking with them, I just chalk it up to, "we'll see them next year."
As I get more pics from my wife's phone as well as a few videos, I'll be adding to this thread over the next couple of days.
PS...nobody in my family lost any arrows!!! The Orange course was tough...few goose eggs in there, but it was a great warmup for the green course which I improved quite a bit hitting very good shots on all the shots on top of the hill starting with the baboon. After the Red course I was feeling pretty dang good about myself...only to be be brought back down to earth on the Blue course which made my Orange course performance look awesome.
I also managed to avoid 99.9999% of the poison ivy...getting only a small pencil eraser sized spot on top of my left forearm. I considered it great motivation to hit every target.

Enjoy that as much as you can...I've not been able to go for a few years. After my daughter graduates next year I should be able to get things back to "normal".
Not sure if you have ever been to the MTB Jamboree--next weekend--but I enjoy that one even more for pure shooting.

We really enjoyed the pace of the range. Nothing bogged down and people like us were able to let our 5yo walk up to every target to take a shot.

I shot by you guys a little on Saturday when I was there by myself. It looked like your little girl was having a blast!
It is a wonderful and refreshing thing to see a happy family that can and does play together. There is absolutely nothing that can replace the emotion, and the experience of spending time with wife and child. Everybody wins on this one. You are a lucky man and will appreciate those days for many years to come.

I was going to post several little 10-15sec vids we took...but I'll put those all into one video and put it on the youtubes.
We picked up that back quiver for my daughter Friday morning. She got addicted to it. She loved drawing arrows from it.
My wife ended up ordering a new bow from Tracey at St Joe. 56" Torrent recurve, a few lbs heavier than the one she has, and with all the bells and whistles she desired(color, veneers, etc.)
Nothing I would have changed...
...well...scratch that. I would have changed where we setup camp. The North half of the CG was in shade at 7pm...where we setup, there was no shade until sunset. That's 3 extra hours of our tent cooking that I could have done without.

Awesome pics, I will tell you if you want shade at Compton you need to be there Wednesday! We arrived Wednesday morning and got the last shade available! It definitely gets hot out in the field.
