Title: Bear memorabilia_thank you St. Jude's auction
Post by: Ray Lyon on June 11, 2017, 12:14:00 AM
Roughly forty years ago I picked up a copy of the Archer's Bible by Fred Bear. As a teenager enthralled with bow hunting I poured over the pages until the spine gave out and the pages separated. Well someone was kind enough to donate a copy to the auction and I was the winning bidder. Many more books have been written about Fred and I've enjoyed them all. However this one will be a pleasure to put back on the bookshelf from a nostalgic place. I also picked up a Bear leather top tape on quiver. I'll do a minor conversion on that with some Great Northern quiver straps so it can reside on my '59 Kodiak copy made by John Mccullough. It's a good day for Bear archery memories.
