Well known West coast trad shooter has lost his battle. Some may have read articles by Nancy his wife. He was great at helping new trad shooters at any of the west coast events. He will be missed

We always enjoyed visiting with Dave at traditional archery meets. He was highly esteemed, and in his business of selling us whatever we needed or wanted in the way of archery supplies, his word was as good as his bond. As was ours to him. If we told him something, he believed us. When he became ill, he transferred his business to relatives, but always liked to come along anyway, and sit smiling and talking with people he knew who would come by, with his dog nearby underneath the table. His dog was indifferent to my dog, but my dog liked to sample his dog's food, and his dog didn't seem to mind.
I'm sorry to hear he passed, and he will be missed. I hope that his family has success in carrying on his business.
Sorry to see this. Prayers for his family.
Used to look forward to seeing Dave at Chamberlin Shoot. he will surely be missed. Rest well Dave....
My thoughts and prayers go out to Nancy. Dave will be sorely missed in the Pacific Northwest area in particular, but throughout the trad community. He was a beacon on inspiration to many of us in his support and promotion of what real bowhunting was and is meant to be.
A true friend and brother of the bow. I will miss him dearly. RIP my friend.
Hark!, I hear the kings horn announcing his arrival at the pearly gates.
Prayers for the family at this most difficult time.
When I started out shooting a Trad bow Dave helped me out a lot God bless Nancy and the rest of the Doran Family. Rest in peace Dave
