Has anyone tried this product?

Nope.......and I hope I never need to. Does look to effective.
I've used super glue before, but these look promising and more sterile.
looks cool just had quad bypass super glued me up
Looks like a good addition to my medical kit. Think I might pick one up. Suppose one can only buy them in packs of 10 though. :bigsmyl:
I've always carried a sterile skin stapler along with super glue.
Looks like it would stick on clean dry skin, not wet, bloody, soiled skin.
I had to intervene in a dog fight and got the worst of it. I had several deep bites that I used proxcide then super glue to close them and stop the bleeding. Then I took my dogs to the vet to get them sewed/stapled up. The vet laughed when she saw how I had patched myself up and then took my dogs for professional treatment.
BTW: super glue really stings in an open cut.

Puncture wounds need to be really clean prior to gluing to prevent abscess
I wouldnt seal up a deep puncture wound on my own, better to leave those open and clean them really well, let them heal from the inside out IMO
Seems like a good product. I agree with Longtoke about not using it to close up a deep cut, that should be attended to my a medical pro. But for lesser cuts, it looks promising.

I agree that a medical professional would be preferred for deep cuts. I was really speaking more about wilderness medicine/first aid when medical treatment is not possible.

Yes it does!!!!! IMHO it's worse than alcohol. ...
I guess my pain tolerance ain't what it used to be.... :dunno:

Those look much easier and effective than super glue. Think I will have to get some for my medical kit.
Yes, super glue does sting but is easier then what I used in the early 80's when in college to self-treat a cut like, but a longer than the one in the video. I will spare you the details and only say it involved heating, bending, sterilizing the needle and needle nose pliers, unwaxed dental floss, and Listerine for sterilization of the wound.
Before you ask, yes alcohol was involved.

Come on, Walt. Say it isn't true..

I actually Cary a suture kit with me. But this looks way user friendly. Might have to find these. Thanks for the tip!
My daughter is a Nurse Practitioner and knowing how careless I am gave me several packs of these to keep around.
I put a resharpend knife thru my hand while skinning a griz bear in AK. Two days from pickup, so I cleaned it best I could and put betadine soaked cotton balls in the wound. Changed them twice daily until I could get to hospital. I do not mess with puncture wounds as abscess can screw up every organ in your body. Do not seal a puncture wound, let it drain!

Should get some of that vets version of super glue, more expensive but don't burn either.

Best advice is not to get a deep cut to start with!
That said having any easy way to close it in the back country may help keep bacteria out til you get to further med attention. Also may help the clotting process.
Something like these used in combination with a wrap of some sort and if it is a large wound on a leg or arm splinting the extremity will help as well.
In the end it always boils back to definitive med care for a large cut? If they don't like the looks of our impromptu doctoring and see any hint of infection they will probably open it back up to clean it or pump you so full of antibiotics you float.
At home I am a paramedic, in the backwoods I am a glorified basic.
I like the looks of these and will have a couple in the kit. Can't hurt as they are lightweight? Hope to never use them but don't want to need them and not have them! Especially light and easy to pack.

I've used the predecessor to this. Regular steri-strips that you put on one at a time. They stick well in the field and are in all of my kits.
I highly recommend them.
never used them but have used superglue...hurts like hell but is effective.
Cool! Like a Compound butterfly bandage!
I'm also a fan of Super glue!
