Title: Toughest Carbon Micro Shaft ??
Post by: TDHunter on May 31, 2017, 02:23:00 PM
wondering how much difference there is between:

Easton Axis
Beman Center Shot
CX Piledriver Pass Threw etc. etc.

Is one that much tougher then the other?? I see you can find the Bemans for a fair bit less then the AXIS . Thoughts ? experiences?
thanks

Probably not much difference.  Easton Axis are plenty tough for me.  Haven't shot the others.

Widowmaker smash shafts is my vote, do a utbe search and watch video of a guy standing one one supported by two cinder blocks. Have not broken one in 2 years of shooting them and I can be tough on them stumpin'.

Black Eagle Renegades are pretty tough. I wish they made the Axis woodgrain in .300 spine. I have to make the .340s too light to get them stiff enough.

TD Hunter ... I have two dozen Beman 360-16 skinny shafts in the St Jude auction. With the outserts they are bomb proof. I received these shafts from a good hunting partner of mine who can no longer bow hunt. He killed most everything in North America with them and several big Africa critters also.

The shafts come with all the parts, outserts, nocks and some glue on adapters as well.

He shot them out of a 55# bow, with the slide on outsert nocks they are easy to cut down for tuning.
