I thought I would build this for both mountain adventures and for at my home province hunting spots for light camping.

it set up in back yard
alarm is a dobbermann pull alarm ($2-7 off internet), string is 50 lbs paracord ($4.00) aluminum rods are cut in half and are about (1.00 a piece).
I have a video of it working but still trying to upload.
This is an alert (trip wire with alarm) when something is close to the tent, camp site etc....
I have made the rods but could easily be connected to trees etc. with little hooks or pins. cord can be wrapped several times but more times will effect the pull.

I hope let me know when the bears are around, or dead (zombies)...lol
Sweet setup, how loud is it?
The video does not really do it justice, it is a car alarm noise level but more of a shrill.
