I need to thank all those that emailed called and texted me about the recent insurgents of the mainstream media mentality into Tradgang.
We've dealt with a lot of things over the years and we will deal with this... make no mistake.
Thanks again guys
You and the admins are doing a very good job .
Yeah, it is a shame that stuff like this happens. The main stream fake news media is so upsetting. Just look at what is happening on college campus, just terrible what this country is coming to. Never before has a US President been treated so unfairly and savagely. Thanks for keeping this place sane Terry.

CNN would lie to everyone and meat is actually good for eating? Learn something everyday. Hitlers said to push political and public opnion the best method was to tell a lie, the bigger the better and keep telling it so it became common knowledge. That NAZI philosopher, forgot the name, declared that people would believe a lie, even if they new it was a lie as long as they were either expected to believe or wanted the lie to be the reality.

Yeah I was one that emailed. And thanks because people nowadays seem to parrot what others say without even knowing if it's true or not, or correct or not or right or not, they just say it because it makes them feel good about themselves.
And thanks for knocking out the political posts.
What did I miss?
Guess "those guys" manage to get in everywhere sometimes.

Just got home to post. Now I see someone wants you to close your own thread. Is that not main stream media like to shut down the truth? :knothead:
I am sure of three things. 1. My longbow is better than yours. 2. That if everyone was politically correct, there would never be any problems. 3. If everyone was politically correct, there will always be problems.

I will take issue with your absurd assertion of #1. I, sir, would put my longbow up against yours any day of the week! :goldtooth: Politics, religion and money are sensitive topics, but don't offend my longbow sensibilities! LOL!

Dennice, when you see what I have coming you will change your tune.
Got your back when you need it sir.
Thanks for all that you guys do to keep our site as it was intended to be.
Pavan, I think you are right about your longbow, I need a new one now.
And I don't thank you guys enough for what you do. Sorry about that.
I'll dig up something good for St. Judes......

:biglaugh: Bring it on!
mainstream mentality towards tradgang?? whats going on??
Lawrence ,his name was Joseph Goebbels. His official title was minister of propaganda and national enlightenment .
Nip it in the bud here. I'm running out of popcorn and hair reading all the elk droppings on the other Trad sites. :deadhorse:

O.K. my curiosity is up. What is this about, what happened? What is "insurgents of the mainstream media mentality"? I'm genuinely in the dark, P.M. me if you like. Jim
I'm clueless as well. But I prefer to remain that way I think. Doesn't seem like this has anything to do with trad archery.
My understanding of what's going here has its roots in an undermining sharing (often times pushing) of misinformation concerning trad archery basic truths. We, as a group seem to be drifting away from the simple knowledge learned over decades by trial and error of archery greats.
Perhaps Terry or Rob can elaborate....
Whip....oh contraire... my post has everything to do with traditional bowhunting. And the foundation of it.
If this is about politics (and I suspect it is) it just doesn't belong here.
We are rapidly approaching a time where isolationism puts people in a liable position of getting overrun. Things that happen in the world directly affects us all, it is important to be truthfully informed so we know when to duck and when to stand up and fight back.
What part of traditional bowhunting do you not understand huntryx??? I never said anything about politics.
Most of the misunderstanding seems to be that most of us reading this topic don't have any idea what is being referenced or discussed.
The rash of FAKE NEWS in Bowhunting

X2 I am here all the time and guess I missed it.

Susan, etal... actually it's a analogy using current mainstream media jargon to bring to light how, over time, misinformation about bow hunting parameters is permeating Tradgang forums (how sharp is a sharp broadhead....and
making statements about bow/arrow effeciency that are not supported by sound data and decades of experience . ("Whew"...that was a mouthful!) :saywhat:
Clear as mudd?
I know I am a bit dense, but what the hell fake news are you guys talking about? I see lots of stuff here that I don't believe or understand, but I don't know how to tell if a writer is merely misinformed or just trying to start something. If he is misinformed, we should try to illustrate a more logical approach to a situation. I just am not sure, in most cases, if a statement is deliberately false. Sorry, but a number of comments about removed post have left me bewildered. I guess my ignorance truly is bliss. Quite honestly, I wish the offending posts would be identified.
I have been contacted by a few of the Old Guards that are concerned about this as well. These comments came to me unsolicited but I was glad to see it so I wasn't thinking I was the only one noticing is ever increasing issue.
The truth in bowhunting is getting watered down due to miss representation being spread about through social media.
Again it's just not me and not only the old guards that contacted me but others as well. It seems to be a growing concern.
Sam it's pattern of spreading misinformation by a few to the masses....some in ignorance and some by design. Repeating things that they heard "somewhere from somebody" without understanding there is no evidence whatsoever to support what they say..
Here's a recent one, I was asked by our local state congressman, why I objected so strongly to the legalization of crossbows, because as he put it, "The proof is out there that hunting deer the old way with a bow arrow and arrow, hunters are wounding and losing many more deer than they actually take home." It is not a very long guess to who fed him that information. There are high profits in disinformation.
What kind of misinformation is being spread? Is it being spread by bowhunters, or non-hunters?
There was jargon imbedded in your post, i.e., "mainstream media" which lead me to believe that was the point. Sorry if I misunderstood but the post isn't clear about what you mean. If we are talking about misinformation and the purposeful spreading of falsehoods about our sport, then I am always with you. The great things about FACTS is that they are true whether you believe them or not.

This is into the 3rd page now, others have asked as I did simply what's going on and it is apparently too diabolical to put into print. I only went to public schools but you'd think it would be easier to explain?
I think it was the draw weight thread. I believe the basis of the problem being some folks were offering personal experiences and others were commenting based on the experiences of others, which, being that this is the internet, may or may not be true. There were also some misunderstandings and miscommunication and things got heated.
It got edited and shut down pretty quickly. Then there was another heated thread about the first thread that seems to have been removed.

I'm thinking the OP was about all the false/incorrect information being spread about in the main stream media (MSM) outlets....but i could be wrong.
Is blue good? Are bears bad? Can clouds hurt?
All the types of strange, irrational questions i get from children, but are similar in usefullness to what the MSM asks/posits about archery and bow hunting.
People lie and misrepresent information every day to push their agenda. I don't fool with social media and have no intentions to in the future. I don't care about the specifics, but I appreciate your effort policing Tradgang.
How many times does a man have to say it. It's fake news in bowhunting can you understand or comprehend that people wake up!?!?
I'm confused Nazis, CNN, college campuses. My bows better than yours the president..
Trad archery under attack? Parrots?
What fake news pertaining to bow hunting are,you hearing?
