Wow , I'll bet that place is just wonderful to see .
What no pics. it can't be with out pics. Oh did I mention I like pics. :-)
It is a great museum.
Wise choice Leland. There is so much to see and learn there. It is well worth the trip.
Been there twice. Good stuff!
The Bass Pro Shops in Springfield MO has a national shooting sports history museum upstairs above the guns/bows/optics area. It's a pretty fantastic place for both firearm and traditional archery enthusiasts.
As for the shopping there, it's nothing spectacular...just about every item they sell in the catalog is sprawled out on a showroom floor at full retail prices. I try to visit their museum when I can and I'm in the area but I don't always even take time to browse the merchandise.
Gregg Dudley and I went to a meeting there several years ago representing the TBOF at a meeting of the North American Bowhunters Coalition & had an awesome time. The displays & dioramas are incredible with so much history under one roof. Got to meet M.R. James & a bunch of great archers too.
One of the coolest things we saw was an amazing diverse amount of wildlife on our trips back in forth to Rochester. You will enjoy it!
I have relatives in Chatfield, so I have been to the P&Y club museum many times. Very interesting and fun.
