My lovely wife ordered me a EFA quiver for Christmas and I just now had the time (spent the week of Christmas in the hospital while our 4 year old boy battled menegitis, new baby girl arrived in March, its been busy) to get it together and take it for a test drive on my two piece featherhorn.

I went with the 3 arrow tall Mesa to accommodate my 160 Grizzlies. I had Don fix a 4 arrow gripper to the bottom and he set a single gripper on the totem shaft to hold a grouse arrow.

One question for those who have similar quivers; the space between the totem shaft and the handle is such that my thumb presses on the shaft when gripping the bow:

Is this normal? will I get used to it or should I explore shimming it out a bit to give a little more clearance?
Love the EFA's. I had the same issue with one that I put on a Morrison Shawnee. That riser was more reflexed, causing the limbs (and thus the quiver) to sit more forward similar to long bow risers. I just removed the totem and have used it on many bows that way. I thought maybe it served a purpose, i.e. preventing the mounts from migrating out the fades over time, but I put double stick tape under the mounts have have never had any issues.
Hmmmm...mine is certainly close to my thumb but not really touching it. I've had it on 58" and 62" Maddog Praire Predators, and a 60" one piece Toelke Whip. Of course all are longbow, but no probs rubbing thumb on any of them. Id contact 2 fletch, or EFA and see what he suggest.
I would put the "Wing" kickback option on the lower bracket and all will be good.
We have had this question several times. The idea situation is to keep the quiver as close to the bow as possible, and yet not be in the way of your hand. What Marc B says about adding the Wing attachment is the best way to accomplish this. Also, we can add to the spacers between the talon grip and hood. Just give us a call if you have that situation. Ahhhh....maybe that's why I never had any problems. I like the kickback for other reasons too...its nice.
