Got my new Mike Treadaway Black Forrest longbow. Picked it up at the TN Classic this weekend. I'd post pics, but don't know how and they don't begin to do it justice. Already named it. Viagra. Putting a light blue string on it.
I aint askin!
What he said^^^^^^
Congratulations .
As far as the name....
I don't think we want to know .
Haha...I love the name! Can't wait to see this one....love my Treadways!
Probably not an insult to the bow or bowyer, rather a device to give him a rise!
Nice bows, congrats, but if you were going to give the bow a more feminine gender, I think Lavitra would be a better name.
Congrats! Mike makes a great bow. I just got my Black Swamp in March, got back on Mike's list for a Black Forest.
Mike is first Class.
Lol--guess you'd have to see it to get the name. This bow is a work of art...not just beautiful wood and craftsmanship, but arrow inlays in the limbs, 45's in the riser, horn tips, hand rubbed finish...it had that "effect" on everyone that saw it/picked it up. Of course it's not all about looks either...shoots like a dream.
Ooh! That would be funny if the string matched the color of the pill, whatever it is.
Killdeer
Just in case you change your mind about that blue, I found this on the web as a color guide. (http://i872.photobucket.com/albums/ab283/pavanldb/th.jpg) (http://s872.photobucket.com/user/pavanldb/media/th.jpg.html)
Wait, there seems to be something out of order here. WHERE'S THE PICS?
I don't know how to post pics. Got some on the way though.
Killy, the string will be BCY's "electric blue". It's a bright light blue--perfect match.

Here you go Chad! Beautiful bow!

Man that's nice! I love Treadway bows
Nice! I think mine has the same center stripe with the 45s... satinwood and bloodwood.
I would not call it viagra or Lavitra, that bow is is not a joking matter. Very nice.
Absolutely stunning !!! :notworthy: :notworthy: That boy sure has some serious talent. Doesn't get much better then Mike Treadway or his bows.
Mike is an artist, a craftsman, a gentleman, and honest as the day is long. Only bad thing is he's 70 years old, so he'll probably retire in another 20-30 years.
Pavan, I let my bows name themselves. Some take a long time, some never do...this one named itself within a couple of days. It really is beautiful, and a real shooter. The maple/arrow inlays are on the belly side. The back of the limbs is bocote that perfectly matches that in the riser.
That's a beautiful bow, Chad. Bring it to Tennessee so we can see it.
Murray
Will do Murray. Bill, Sue, and Roy saw it. They can verify that the pics don't do it justice.
