Title: Predator Rain Parka
Post by: JLeMieux on May 04, 2017, 07:02:00 PM
Do any of you have any experience with the Predator Rut Series Waterproof Parka? I'm looking to basically consolidate my softshell jacket and lightweight rain jacket. I can't tell how heavy it is, nor if it's packable at all. My second option is keeping my current rain shell and replacing my softshell jacket with a lightweight puffy. It's a backpack hunt and I want to stay light but efficient. Last year I packed the shell and used the Predator Adrenaline jacket. To be honest, it wasn't enough when stationary on those cold mornings. It was the first week of season but I got cold several times.

Just got an email back. They described it as mid-heavy so that one is out.

I love mine been using it for 5 years.   It is a couple steps heavier than the adrenalin. Have you looked at the High Plains option.

It is heavier and warmer than the Adrenalin but not as heavy as the Rain Parka. and more breathable.
